ARCO - Our dear mother, Lucille Webb, passed away quietly on Saturday, August 21, 1999, at the Lost Rivers Living Center in Arco.
For the last several years she has been lovingly cared for by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Nancy Schut of Arco, and her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Dennis Shaul of Idaho Falls.
Mom was born on June 1, 1919, at Riverside, ID, to John W. and Anna W. Hutchison.
She grew up in the Sterling and Rockford area, along with her two sisters, Valene and Marguerite; and two brothers, Ralph and John.
In May of 1938 she married Elmer Stephens and they raised their three daughters in the Challis area.
They were later divorced.
In July of 1948 she married Herman Schut.
They had two daughters and one son while residing in Challis.
Herman passed away in December of 1963.
In July of 1965 she married Ralph Shoaf.
They lived in Arco until Ralph passed away in September of 1980.
She married Francis (Mike) Webb in January of 1987 and they lived in Rockford until his passing in September of 1992, at which time she moved back to Arco.
Mom loved horseback riding, dancing, singing old western ballads, swimming, camping and reading poetry.
She was a talented seamstress, loved sewing clothes and doll clothes for her children and grandchildren and refurbishing old dolls.
She is survived by her brother, Ralph (Lillian) Hutchison of Blackfoot, ID; a sister, Marguerite (Bill) Alexander of Challis, ID; her children, Mayanna (Bill) Chivers of Nampa, ID, Carolyn (Leroy) Hale of Queen Creek, AZ, Mary (Dennis) Shaul of Idaho Falls, ID, Sandra (Bud) York of Idaho Falls, ID and Paul (Nancy) Schut of Arco, ID; her stepchildren, Ralph (Jeri) Shoaf of Blackfoot, ID, Ruth Parris and Agnes Connell of Pingree, ID, Jean Ockerman of Firth, ID, and Katen Gay of Pocatello, ID; 24 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jennie (Steve) Nelson; a sister, Valene; a brother, John; a grandson, William Chivers; a great-grandson, Curtis Hale; and stepdaughters, Sharon Fallis and Barbara Hansen.
Her family was her greatest joy in life and she will be greatly missed by all of us. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 27, 1999, at 11:00 a. m. at the Challis Mission Church with Pastor Paul Stroud officiating.
The family will meet with friends at the church one hour prior to services.
