He was born in Bergen Norway May 9th 1851. His parents were Supreme Court Judge Morten Beyer and his wife Christine Jeanette Cappelen.
Highschool graduate 1869. Law graduate 1874.
Postgraduate exam 1881
Head clerk with the district magistrate C. Holm in Nordhofland county 1875-77.
Admitted to the bar 1877.
For a time he worked in his father's office till March 1880, and was acting judge for a time in 1879.
After his father's death he was appointed permanent judge April 2nd, 1881. 1878-82 he was secretary for the Bergen Relief Agency for the poor.
Januarty 19th 18888 he was appointed secretary for the Bergen Assessment Office and May 4th 1892 he became director for that office. In 1913 he retired from both positions. 1917 they moved to Slemdal by Oslo, whre he died November 10th 1918
