Arthur Lewis
Generelle notater: Arthur Lewis was born July 13, 1866. When he was about 8 years old his mother died. His family had joined the LDS church and wanted to go to Utah. His father sent Arthur alone when he was about 14 years old. He made it to Utah and was taken in by a Bishop of one of the Wards and put to work driving wagons. He met Rosalie Nielsen and they married. He obtained work at Brown floral and worked 12 hours a day 6 days a week. He had a very large family and was very poor. He decided to join a group of people and establish a ranch in Nevada. The ranch had several reverses and failed so he moved his family to nearby Overton. Rosalie suffered a stroke and Arthur took care of her and the family with the help of his grown daughters. He was very involved in church work and took good care of his family. He was respected in the small community and several of his children became very successful in the area.
